As you probably know, beauty is anything but basic. There’s an element of mystery, even “acting” about it. Here are my top 5 beauty secrets for Women in their 30′s, 40′s and beyond:

    1. Tell yourself you’re beautifuland keep telling yourself until you believe it! Humans not only perceive, but are also influenced by, each other’s feelings. If people sense your self-hatred, there’s a good chance they’ll see you the way you subconsciously tell them to see you.

    2. Rethink your foundation. Literally nothing ages you as quickly as the wrong foundation. Wearing a shade that is too pale, too pink, too orange, too dark too anything, really can actually exaggerate the scars, blemishes and spots you are trying to hide. Plus, the wrong color can make you look lifeless, while simultaneously accentuating wrinkles and furrows. Head for a cosmetics counter such as Prescriptives, or Becca, which specialize in finding the perfect shade and formula for your skin. This isn’t a splurge, it’s a necessity.

    Introduction

Men and women are different. It was designed by nature like this and there is nothing wrong about it as they perfectly supplement each other. There are stable images of men and women roles in the society, which are very difficult to change or overcome. Men are usually regarded as strong and resolute, clever and quick. Female roles are reduced to pretty and sexy objects. Advertising not only reflects the situation on the world market, but also the tendencies of the modern society and thing, which are in requisition. Gender plays in important role in advertising and gender stereotypes very often define the advertising style.

Men generally carry more important social roles, with very few exceptions, and this is reflected in the advertisements. Men play roles of authorities in the advertisements who either give examples of express their professional opinion in the contrast to women, who mainly play submissive roles of users of the products.

Although 73 percent of women know how to prevent heart disease, many are unaware of how to treat it once a diagnosis has been made.

In a survey of 1,979 women over age 35, only 55 percent said they understand how to treat heart disease. Respondents often incorrectly named prevention techniques such as exercise and healthy eating as treatment options, and less than 10 percent named actual treatments such as angioplasty and stent placement.

Hispanics and African-Americans, both considered high-risk groups for heart disease, were twice as likely as Caucasian women to say they did not know any treatments at all.

The survey was conducted by the “Healthy From the Heart” campaign sponsored by the National Women’s Health Resource Center and Cordis Corp. The campaign encourages women to learn about treatment options for coronary artery disease, the most common type of heart disease, so they can make better decisions if diagnosed.

“The good news is that women are aware that they are at risk for heart disease. The bad news is that they are overly confident in their ability to prevent it and treat it,” said Dr. Cindy Grines, an interventional cardiologist with William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oaks, Mich. “Women must realize that education is the key to conquering the threat of coronary artery disease. There are a variety of treatment options now available.”

With hammers in hand, women across the country are coming together to build homes and better futures with families in need.

Habitat for Humanity International’s Women Build program, sponsored by Lowe’s, a home improvement retailer, is working to make homeownership a reality. The organization trains women volunteers and the future owners of Habitat homes to construct and maintain simple, decent and affordable homes.

“We have seen so many positive changes through the Women Build program, not only in the lives of the new homeowners, but in the lives of the volunteers,” said Fiona Eastwood, director of Women Build. “Women from all walks of life are picking up tools, determined to build a better future for our nation’s children and leave a legacy of volunteerism.”

Women Build is not about excluding men, however. It’s about including women who have a willingness to learn new things and meet new people.

According to Eastwood, women are often intimidated on a “mixed” construction site. At a Women Build site, she says women are able to quickly and comfortably learn construction skills.

As a woman who wants to know about the symptoms of menopause, it is important to have a deeper understanding of what menopause really is. This deeper understanding will give you more insight into what to expect as menopause starts.

There are many women who don’t have all the true information about menopause, except some myths and none-fact information about menopause. Such information only ends up confusing you, instead of helping you.

Menopause is simply the permanent end to menstruation of women. The time that this occurs varies from women to women. In the United States, for example, most women start experiencing menopause from their late 40s. Many other women, start experiencing menopause in their early 50s.

While some women happily and patiently look forward to it, others get scared of it. For those who look forward to it, they could be tired of monthly menstruation and look forward to menopause knowing they would no longer menstruate. This is especially true for ladies who always have painful menstrual periods.

For those who get scared of it, they could still be expecting to bear children and so don’t want menopause since it will signal an end to child bearing.

Dry, itchy and cracked skin goes hand in hand with winter season. - Cleanse & Exfoliate – Before you begin your bath, exfoliate your skin with loofah. Avoid strong base ingredients and anti bacterial products; opt for gentle moisturizing revitalizing products.

Tracy is a very beautiful woman in her mid-thirties. She has a long painful history that she is working her best to leave behind, and she is doing a magnificent job. Now in therapy for some months, I helped her look at all she was left with after finally picking up her courage to leave a devastating marriage and a husband who had absolutely no desire for growth and change, let alone be a good loving human being. In a nutshell, “He was sure he was O.K. and also sure she was not O.K.”

It has been many years since her divorce and she is still picking up the pieces. Nothing she could do or be was enough, good enough, smart enough, long enough, short enough and also not ovulating enough! Tracy had been on a long fertility treatment. In her young days of marriage, and for years to follow, she was just not ovulating normally and had to be helped medically. Numerous miscarriages were had and she still kept trying.

Finally, the Miracle Baby happened! She saw that little angel as a miracle for all the hardship she was going through to help her pregnancy happen. Within the couple also reigned a nightmare for He was constantly bashing her for not even being “normal”.

Have you ever had sore nipples that constantly itch irritatingly? No, please do not ever think of getting the scissors to snip off those nipples! Allegorically, if you really feel like doing this already, read on, you may have nipples with thrush.

Usually, the main culprit in skin itchiness is insect bite. Mosquito bites usually do not last long and could be easily remedied by calamine lotions. If you have innocently treated your nipples like you do with insect bits, chances are you will not get any result. If it is thrush (fungi), it will be quite stubborn because it will last for weeks, and if untreated, it could go for a year.

Fungal infections in the skin can healed by over the counter topical creams applied liberally as indicated by the leaflet of the drug. If the right cream is used constantly and religiously, there is no way a fungi can continue growing in the skin.
